Bellator 30 weigh-in results: All fighters make weight

Official fighter weigh-ins for Bellator 30 took place today at Fourth Street Live! in Louisville, Ky.

All fighters weighed in without issue. 
Among the 18 fighters who hit the scales were middleweight veterans Bryan Baker and Jeremy Horn, who face off in a special attraction bout on the event's televised card, and the semifinalists of the promotion's season-three bantamweight tourney.

On 9/11 Shannon Sanders competing raw in Rockhill, Sc at the APF Summer heat meet and benched 325lbs in the 181 weight class. Shannon weighed in at 179lbs. Shannon opened with 303lbs, then did 325lbs, she missed her third attempt of 341.5lbs at lockout. The 325lbs gives her the APF raw American bench only record. Shannon benched 330lbs at SPF nationals back on June 6th weighing 183lbs.

Saturday, September 11 the APA Border Duel Championships was held in McAllen, Texas. All women's weight classes were represented with several in each weight class. Approximately 50 lifters participated.

Bellator 29 weigh-in results: Massouh and Guida miss weight

All 14 Bellator 29 fighters took part in Wednesday's official weigh-ins, and two competitors missed weight.

Main-card fighter Jameel Massouh (142 pounds) missed the limit for his 140-pound catchweight fight, and preliminary-card fighter Jason Guida (215) was heavy for his 210-pound catchweight bout.

The night's co-headliners, who are Bellator's season-three heavyweight-tournament semifinalists, all made weight without incident.

Thug-jitsu founder Yves Edwards looks ready to face John Gunderson at UFN: Marquardt vs. Palhares which is set to take place on September 15. Shark Fights 13 posterThe weigh-ins for today’s Shark Fights 13 event, the first pay-per-view event hosted by Shark Fight Promotions, took place at the Grand Plaza in the Amarillo Civic Center Coliseum in Amarillo, Texas.

Twenty fighters hit the scales and only one failed to make weight on his first try. Headliners Trevor Prangley (202.75) and Keith Jardine (204.5) made weight for their main event bout. While Paul “Semtex” Daley weighed in at 172 pounds, one pound over the welterweight limit, and has been given an extra hour to cut the weight.

The Amarillo Civic Center Coliseum will also host Saturday’s live event which will feature a ten bout card.

Fans can watch the entire preliminary card via a live stream at Sherdog.com. The preliminary card will be capped off by a Shark Fights featherweight title bout between champ Douglas Evans vs. Ronnie Mann.

Bellator 28 set to unfold as all fighters make weight

The complete line-up of Bellator fighters competing at tomorrow’s night’s event in New Orleans stepped on the scale Wednesday evening with all making weight, meaning all bouts will take place as originally scheduled.

Bellator 28 headliner Carey Vanier registered in at 156 pounds for his bout against UFC veteran Rich Clementi, while the Louisiana native measured in at 155.6 pounds himself. Vanier made it as far as the semi-final round of Bellator’s Season 2 lightweight tournament before being submitted by Toby Imada, while Clementi will be making his promotional debut with notable wins in his career over Anthony Johnson, Terry Etim, and Sam Stout.

Also on the card, former IFL champ Matt Horwich came in at 185.6 pounds in hopes of stringing together a second consecutive win by beating another Bellator Season 2 Tournament Semi-Finalist, Eric Schambari. Horwich recently snapped a two-fight losing streak by submitting BJJ specialist Thales Leites on August 14th at PWP‘s “War on the Mainland” event.

His opponent, Schambari, is 12-2 as a professional and had won five fights in a row before being choked out by Bryan Baker last May at Bellator 20.

Bellator Fighting Championships today hosted official fighter weigh-ins
for Bellator 28, and all 18 event competitors successfully made weight.

The weigh-ins took place at the Mahalia Jackson Theater for the
Performing Arts in New Orleans, the same venue that hosts Thursday's
FOX Sports Net-broadcast event.

Louisiana native and MMA veteran Rich Clementi (155.6 pounds) and
fellow headliner Carey Vanier (156) both made weight without issue.
