At the USAPL Powerlifting Championships today in Palm Springs, Chris Tran wins the 123's with a 1,240 pound total. In the process, he sets 3 junior American records. Maliek Derstine (165) captured best lifter honors today for day 1. Their complete results are as follows:

At the USAPL Pennyslvania Bench Press and Deadlift Championships yesterday, John Bogart (275) broke the federation's single lift American record with 716 pounds. The previous record was held by Scott Lade at 710 pounds. Bogart now owns both the USAPL full power American bench press record and the single lift American bench press record. His next meet will be on June 5th at the USAPL Orange County PL Championships and Ironman BP in Pine Bush, NY; and then he will be competing in the USAPL full power men's nationals in Palm Springs June 20th. He will be going for Viktor Testov's recent IPF full power bench record of 722.
