John Bogart Competes on Saturday

John Bogart (275) once again takes to the platform when he competes at the USAPL Pennsylvania State Championships which takes place on Saturday and Sunday in State College, Pennsylvania.

Bogart will compete in the full meet. He will look to up his own full meet USAPL American Record bench mark of 683 pounds and overtake Scott Lade's bench only record of 710 pounds.

Meet director Steve Mann is going to offer an 'Old School' division at the meet. The division will only allow equipment from the 1990’s and earlier.

It could definitely be argued that the sport needs more personalities like Tom Lawlor. Never one to take himself too seriously, you may know “The Filthy Mauler” as “The Just Bleed Guy” due to Lawlor going old school during the UFC 100 weigh-ins leading up to his submission of the night guillotine choke of C.B.
