Gray Maynard is tired of fighting tough guys who do little for his career. He's looking for a name that pushes him toward a title shot with UFC lightweight champ B.J. Penn.

"That's just where I'm at," Maynard today told MMAjunkie.com. "The last three or four (fights) I've had tough ones, but they're just not that name. It's like, 'Ah well, he beat Nate (Diaz), but he was supposed to. He beat (Rich) Clementi, but he was supposed to.'"

That's why today on Twitter he called out the winner of a UFC Fight Night 21 headliner between two-time title challenger Kenny Florian and Japanese import Takanori Gomi.

You can add Rolles Gracie’s name to the handful of fighters that have been released from the UFC following UFC 109, as The Wrestling Observer recently confirmed the heavyweight’s dismissal from the promotion.

Gracie joins Mark Coleman, Frank Trigg, Phillipe Nover, and Tim Hague, who were all recently let go from the UFC following defeats in the Octagon.

Gracie looked incredibly winded in the second round of his UFC debut with Joey “The Mexicutioner” Beltran before falling victim to a TKO through a series of punches which effectively spelled his departure from the organization.

The second degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt leaves the UFC with an overall career record of 3-1, with all three of his victories coming by way of submission.

After making a name for himself jiu-jitsu, 2009 Abu Dhabi Combat Club
Absolute Division winner Braulio Estima is hoping to do the same in
MMA.

The 29-year-old grappler, whose full name is Braulio de Oliveira
Estima, long considered a move into fighting but finally signed a
contract with the upsart Shine Fights organization after reaching the
top of the competitive grappling circuit.

"I think overall no other people than us who
fight at a good level in jiu-jitsu represent (the sport well)," Estima
recently told MMAjunkie.com. "A lot of people
represent jiu-jitsu, but it's not like a world-class level yet."
