Lightweights Waylon Lowe and Steve Lopez are looking for redemption when they meet at UFC 119.

The matchup was first reported by MMAFighting.com and subsequently confirmed to MMAjunkie.com with a source close to the event.

UFC 119 takes place Sept. 25 at the 18,000-seat Conseco Fieldhouse in
Indianapolis. A heavyweight rematch between Frank Mir and Antonio
Rodrigo Nogueira is expected to headline.

UFC middleweight Kendall Grove say’s the judges called the fight correctly after he earned a split decision (28-29, 30-27, 29-28) against Goran Reljic. The Hawaiian also apologizes to Spike TV for his controversial remarks which may have gotten him removed from the Preliminary show broadcast.

Russian heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko admitted he made a mistake against Fabricio Werdum in the main event of their “Strikeforce and M-1 Global: Fedor vs. Werdum” bout. The loss marked “The Last Emperors” first loss in 10 years noting that his over eagerness led to the loss.

“At the very beginning of the round, I hit Fabricio and I wanted to finish the fight as soon as possible and at that very moment I made a mistake. Certainly there were several moments when I could escape, but I relied on myself too much and that’s why I paid for it. At the very moment that I had to escape, I stopped. I didn’t do that and that moment was used by Fabricio to lock his clinch, to finish locking up his legs. It happens that I was made kind of an idol. Everybody loses. That happens. I’m an ordinary human being, as is all of us and if it is God’s will, the next fight I will win. I am very, very sorry and it’s a pity that I disappointed people that really believed in me and trusted me, but everything in this life happens for some reason,” said Emelianenko.

Fedor went on to say he’d like a chance to face Werdum again, which is something the Brazilian said he’d be open to also. CEO Scott Coker noted that it would be something to look at in the future but it’s not a guarantee right now.

UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva was in Las Vegas supporting members of Team Blackhouse at this past weekends UFC 114 event.

During this interview Silva talks about the mma fans and how he feels a little misunderstood by them. He also offers a comment, or no comment in this case, on all the trash talk that opponent Chael Sonnen has been throwing his way leading up to their UFC 117 bout in August.

A lightweight bout pitting "The Ultimate Fighter 9" winner Ross Pearson against "TUF 5" cast member and veteran lightweight Cole Miller is expected to be part of UFC Fight Night 22.

MMAFighting.com first reported the fight over the weekend, and a source close to the negotiations confirmed with MMAjunkie.com that verbal agreements are in place.

UFC Fight Night 22, which serves as a lead-in for the debut episode of "The Ultimate Fighter 12," takes place Sept. 15 and airs on Spike TV.
