NEW YORK, NY, May 19, 2010 – The live finale of “The Ultimate Fighter: Team Liddell vs Team Ortiz” on Spike TV will include two bouts showcasing four of the UFC’s most exciting fighters. Emanating from The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, NV on Saturday, June 19 at 9:00 PM ET, the fights announced today include a middleweight bout between Aaron Simpson (7-0) and Chris Leben (19-6), and a lightweight matchup pitting Dennis Siver (15-7) against Spencer Fisher (24-5).
Currently sporting a 7-0 record, with all but one of his victories coming via knockout, Aaron Simpson is a former All-American wrestler who is developing into a lethal striker. He left a lasting impression on the minds of fight fans with his 18-second knockout of David Avellan at WEC 36 in November 2008. After entering the UFC, he continued to display his devastating punching power, defeating Tim McKenzie and Ed Herman via TKO early in successive bouts, before running his UFC win streak to three with a decision victory over Tom Lawlor this past January.
Simpson’s opponent is the enigmatic Chris “The Crippler” Leben (19-6), who was one of the breakout stars from the historic first season of “The Ultimate Fighter.” Leben’s UFC career began with seven straight wins over such notables as Jorge Rivera, Patrick Cote, and Luigi Fioravanti. Never one to back down from a challenge, Leben had his streak snapped in April 2006 by current UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva. Since then, he has continued to take on all comers, and following a win over Jay Silva earlier this year, he hopes that a victory over the undefeated Sampson will further him on the path for a shot at the UFC middleweight title.
Hailing from Mannheim, Germany, Dennis Siver has 22 professional bouts under his belt, and only four have gone to decision. He made his UFC debut in 2007, but it was in January 2009 that he truly announced his arrival as he took home “Knockout of the Night” honors with a TKO victory over Nate Mohr at UFC 93, knocking out his opponent with a spinning back kick. After a win over Dale Hartt at UFC 99 in his native Germany, he once again scored a “Knockout of the Night” bonus with the same spinning back kick against Paul Kelly at UFC 105 in November 2009. He had his four fight winning streak stopped by Ross Pearson this past March, but will look to bounce back against his opponent, Spencer Fisher, on June 19.
North Carolina native Spencer Fisher has established himself as one of the most exciting fighters in the UFC over the course of his five year career with the organization. He holds wins over such UFC notables as Thiago Alves, Sam Stout, and Jeremy Stephens, and has twice won “Fight of the Night” honors for his relentless attack inside the Octagon™. Coming off of a tough loss to Joe Stevenson at UFC 104, Fisher hopes to have his hand raised at the end of what promises to be an exciting fight with Siver.
Other bouts, including the finals of “The Ultimate Fighter: Team Liddell vs Team Ortiz,” will be announced at a later date. The two finalists will be competing for a six-figure contract with the preeminent mixed martial arts organization in the world, The Ultimate Fighting Championship®.

New York, NY, April 13, 2010 – Spike TV will telecast live undercard bouts from UFC 114: RAMPAGE vs. EVANS on Saturday, May 29 at 9:00 PM ET/6:00 PM PT from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV. The one-hour telecast will run with limited commercial interruption. UFC 114 will air on pay-per-view at 10:00 PM ET.
The first bout scheduled to air on Spike TV is in the lightweight division, and features a former winner of “The Ultimate Fighter,” as Efrain Escudero (13-1) squares off against Dan Lauzon (12-3). Escudero was the winner in the lightweight competition of Season 8 of “The Ultimate Fighter,” defeating Phillipe Nover via unanimous decision to capture the crown. Following that, he defeated Cole Miller via TKO at UFC 103 before suffering the first defeat of his MMA career at the hands of Evan Dunham at UFC Fight Night 20 in January. He will look to bounce back against a fighter seeking his first win in the UFC, 22 year old Dan Lauzon.
Brother of fellow UFC lightweight Joe Lauzon, Dan Lauzon made his UFC debut at the age of 18 when he lost to Spencer Fisher at UFC 64. At the time, he was the youngest competitor to ever step inside the Octagon™. In the time since that defeat, he has only lost twice, compiling an 8-2 record in the process. Coming off a tough battle against Cole Miller at UFC 108 in January, a hungry Lauzon is looking to have his hand raised in victory inside the Octagon™ for the first time when he takes on Escudero.
The evening’s second televised bout is a welterweight contest between Dong Hyun “Stun Gun” Kim (12-0-1, 1 NC) and another former winner of “The Ultimate Fighter,” Amir Sadollah (4-1). A native of South Korea, Kim’s mixed martial arts career began in 2004, as he compiled 9-0-1 record in ten bouts in South Korea and Japan, six wins coming via KO or submission. A well rounded fighter whose strengths are judo and kickboxing, Kim made his UFC® debut in 2008 at UFC 84 in Las Vegas with a TKO victory over Jason Tan. He currently boasts a 3-0, 1 NC record in the UFC with wins over Tan, Matt Brown and TJ Grant, as well as a no contest against Karo Parisyan. Kim aims to use his MMA experience to his advantage against Sadollah.
A former surgical technician, Amir Sadollah burst onto the MMA scene when he won Season 7 of “The Ultimate Fighter” despite entering the show with no professional fights. Sadollah exhibited great resilience in capturing the title, as well as a self deprecating sense of humor, which have made him a favorite amongst UFC fans, who have seen him add wins against Phil Baroni and Brad Blackburn in the two years since defeating CB Dollaway at “The Ultimate Fighter” finale. Now training full time in Las Vegas with XTreme Couture, Sadollah will need to display that same resilience, as well as his improving Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu skills, if he is to defeat Kim.
Other bouts on the card might air on Spike TV, to be determined by the length of the fights.

Las Vegas, NV - "Fans and media have been asking me for weeks what is happening on The Ultimate Fighter Season 11, saying things like 'is Tito off the show, is Chuck fighting Rich.' Today, I'm officially announcing that Chuck Liddell will fight Rich Franklin at UFC 115. I wish I could tell you why, but everyone's just going to have to watch The Ultimate Fighter Season 11 on Spike TV. What I can say is that these are two UFC legends, and they give everything they have in every second of a fight. Both of these guys are looking to get back to the top of the light heavyweight division. Liddell and Franklin at 205 pounds is going to be a war, and I can't wait to do our first UFC event ever in Vancouver," said UFC President Dana White.
