Now, as the Ultimate Fighting Championship® prepares for its debut in the city of Boston, the Gracie family returns with its sights set on further solidifying its grappling domination.

UFC President Dana White announced today that the UFC® FAN EXPO™ in Boston will feature four grappling superfights, two of which will feature high-level black belts Rolles Gracie and Gregor Gracie of the Renzo Gracie Academy based out of New York City.

On Friday, Aug. 27 at 2PM ET, ADCC world champion Penny Thomas, fresh off her grappling superfight victory over MMA veteran Shayna Baszler at the UFC Fan Expo in May, takes on Team Lloyd Irvin product Tracey Goodell in an exciting women’s matchup. Plus, former UFC star Hermes Franca, a dangerous Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt who owns submission victories over the likes of Nate Diaz, Mike Brown, and Jamie Varner, takes on 23-time Grapplers Quest champion Ryan Hall.

Then, on Saturday, Aug. 28 at 12:30PM ET, the Gracie family invades the UFC Fan Expo with two explosive contests. First, UFC veteran and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt Rolles Gracie takes on undefeated Grapplers Quest champion Roberto “Cyborg” Abreu. If that wasn’t enough, Renzo Gracie black belt Gregor Gracie, a four-time Grapplers Quest champion, locks horns with reigning ADCC world grappling champion Pablo Popovitch.

“The superfights in Boston give fans the chance to see some of the best grapplers in the world,” UFC President Dana White said. “With the Gracies, as well as the other competitors, we’ve got eight of the best grapplers in the sport. These are can’t-miss superfights for fans.”

Please note that all rings of the UFC Fan Expo tournament will be stopped during these Superfights, and that while fans will get to see all the tournament and Superfight action, seating will be limited and handled on a first come, first served basis.

LAS VEGAS - While 1,500 competitors hit the mat today at this year's
Grapplers Quest tournament in conjunction with the UFC's second-ever UFC
Fan Expo, four world-class competitors drew the most attention.

Friday's two Grapplers Quest superfights featured Shayna Baszler vs.
Penny Thomas and Bill Cooper vs. Hermes Franca in six-minute
submission-grappling matches.

And while Baszler and Franca brought a combined 45 fights worth of MMA
experience to the mat, the grappling-circuit veterans were the ones who
proved victorious in both matches.

The UFC Fan Expo just added another bit of star power, as former PRIDE
and Shooto champion Takanori Gomi and current WEC lightweight title
contender Shane Roller will face off in a superfight at the Grapplers
Quest tournament being conducted at next week's UFC Fan Expo in Las
Vegas.

Grapplers Quest officials announced the matchup today.

Held in conjunction with this month's "UFC 114: Rampage vs. Evans"
event, the UFC Fan Expo takes place May 28 and 29 at the Mandalay Bay
Convention Center in Las Vegas.

ORLANDO – On Friday, April 16th and Saturday, all day, April 17th, Grapplers Quest, “The World’s Largest Grappling Competition” is hosting the 1st Europa Show of Champions Southeast Submission Wrestling, Grappling and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Championships at The Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

Grappling is the ground fighting art of Mixed Martial Arts and combines the throws of Olympic Judo, the takedowns of Wrestling, Leg Locks from Sambo, and other Submissions from Brazilian Jiu Jitsu like arm bars, shoulder locks and chokes. Competitors of all ages and skill levels participate in the event and it is open to all grappling styles to determine the best grapplers in the World. Grapplers Quest has produced events for The Ultimate Fighting Championship, Mr, Olympia and Europa Supershows from Las Vegas to Europe.

A Special 8-Man Superfight Pro Tournament will be hosted Friday, April 16th from 8:00-10:00 PM and Amateur Submission Wrestling, Grappling and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Divisions will be held all day Saturday, April 17th from 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM. Tickets are available at the door for the Europa Show of Champions for $15 per day.

It’s that time again. On March 13, 2010, combat grapplers from around the globe travel to Colorado to test themselves at the world’s ultimate submission fighting challenge.

Now in the tenth year, Pancrase Hybrid Wrestling’s tournament has matured into a world-renowned event. Each year hundreds of fighters and thousands of spectators take part in our championship series. This year promises to be even bigger and better.

Fans and competitors alike can look forward to a day of world-class submission grappling competition from experts in the world’s oldest martial art. Discover why mixed martial arts and submission fighting has rapidly become the nation’s fastest growing and most popular new sport.

As always, the Pancrase championship is held in conjunction with the Old Timers Collegiate-Style Wrestling Tourney. Both tournaments run simultaneously and at the same location. Competitors and spectators may participate in both events.
