US Grappling returns to Kerr Vance Academy on Saturday, July 24, 2010 for Grapplemania NC! This event will have divisions for adults, 30+ men, and juveniles. This is a single elimination Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and submission grappling tournament.

The first 50 pre-registered (and paid) competitors will receive a free T-shirt!

Saturday weigh ins will be held from 8 AM to 9:30 AM for anyone competing in no gi divisions, and will be extended to noon for any adults that will only be competing in the gi. All juvenile competitors must weigh in by 9:30 AM. Competitors do not need to wear the gi during weigh ins. Competitors can also register and weigh in Friday night. More information on Friday night weigh ins coming soon.

US Grappling will return to Webster, NY (just outside Rochester) on Saturday, July 17th for another no-time-limits, no-points tournament!

Fastest submission!
The competitor with the fastest submission of the entire tournament will win free admission into all US Grappling Submission Only events for one full year!

All competitors who register online and pay before 7/15/2010 at 8 PM will receive a free t-shirt.

Men’s Gi Division Absolute Winners
Winners of the men’s black, brown, purple, blue, and white belt absolute divisions will win a gi.

July 10 in Virginia: US Grappling’s Junior Championships

US Grappling will host our annual Junior Championships in Ashland, VA (just north of Richmond) on Saturday, July 10th, 2010 at Patrick Henry High school.

This tournament will be DOUBLE ELIMINATION! All kids will get at least two matches in every division.

Juvenile divisions at US Grappling events now use the Madison Bracketing System. There will no longer be preset weight classes for juveniles. Competitors will be divided by weight, experience, and age (whenever possible).

Using the Madison system means children and teens will be less likely to cut weight since they won’t know the weight classes in advance.

Competitors can also register and weigh in Friday night.

Weigh ins will be held from 8 AM to 10 AM for all juvenile competitors.

All competitors that pre-register (and pay) by Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 8 PM will receive a free t-shirt!

US Grappling Announces Date in Chicago

Preregistration is now open for US Grappling’s first event in Illinois. This gi and no-gi tournament tournament takes place on Saturday, October 9th at the Oak Lawn Pavilion in Oak Lawn, IL. Registration will be capped at 500 competitors. There will be divisions for men, women, and 30+ men, but no children’s divisions.  The first 100 preregistered competitors will receive a free t-shirt.

Head 2 Head Grappling Presents: Supreme Grappling Tournament 3 – Two $1,000 Pro Division (read below for details)

This event was started to give grapplers in the tri-state area an opportunity to compete in an event that isn’t very far away and doesn’t break the bank like some of the much bigger tournaments.

Our goal is to run a respectable tournament that brings in some of the best grapplers from the tri-state area.

Pre-register now and save money and get a FREE t-shirt.

- Each competitor is guaranteed 2 matches!

- Women compete for half price!

- Brown Belts and Black Belts compete in the Gi division for FREE!

- Even though we are a fairly new organization we will have 8 mat areas.

- Our location is in a very large sports arena. GoodSports Complex in Wall, NJ so that means no crowded areas.

- We are having TWO $1000 Pro Grappling Divisions – Under 165lbs and 166lbs to 190lbs featuring some of the best expert and black belt grapplers in the tri-state area.

- Our facility has full locker rooms with sauna and showers.

- Facility is equipped with snack bar.

- Focused on getting quality and well respected referees.

- Night Before Weigh Ins from 6pm to 8pm at the venue.

- FREE T-Shirt with online registration (Pre-registration will close after April 1st.)

This gi and no-gi event will have divisions for men, women, and 30+ men.

Note that the exact weigh-in times are subject to change as the event approaches. I will keep everyone attending this event posted! Competitors can also register and weigh in Friday night from 6 to 8 PM at the competition venue. If you weigh in Friday night, you do not need to weigh in on Saturday!
