The UFC's return to the Lone Star State required a bit of creativity
from the company's matchmaking department, but all is now complete less
than a week before the show.

A long-rumored matchup between Yves Edwards and
John Gunderson is now official for the preliminary
card of UFC Fight Night 22, and the event is now complete with 10 bouts.

Featuring a main event between middleweight contenders Nate Marquardt
and Rousimar Palhares, UFC Fight Night 22 takes place Sept. 15 at the
Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas.

Weigh-ins for this month's blockbuster "UFC Fight Night 22: Marquardt
vs. Palhares" event take place Tuesday, Sept. 14, at the Frank Erwin
Center in Austin, Texas.

The same venue hosts the following night's Spike TV-broadcast fight
card, which serves as a lead-in to the debut episode of "The Ultimate
Fighter 12."

Additionally, top UFC middleweight contender (and pound-for-pound top
trash talker in MMA) Chael Sonnen hosts a special Q&A session prior
to the weigh-ins. Both events are free and open to the public.

The ever-changing UFC Fight Night 22 main card finally appears set with the official addition of a lightweight bout between "The Ultimate Fighter 8" winner Efrain Escudero and Charles Oliveira.

The bout completes the four-fight main-card lineup for UFC Fight Night 22, which takes place Sept. 15 and airs live on Spike TV from the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas.

As MMAjunkie.com first reported, Escudero originally was slated to fight John Gunderson and then Matt Wiman before a series of injuries and fight-card shuffling led to the Oliveira matchup.

Just as soon as UFC Fight Night 22's co-main event was shuffled, things are in flux once again.

MMAjunkie.com has been informed by multiple sources close to the event that Matt Wiman may have
suffered an injury in training and could be forced to withdraw from a
fight with Efrain Escudero on the Sept. 15 card, which takes place at
the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas.

Wiman had previously been booked for a rematch with
Mac Danzig before an undisclosed injury forced Danzig to withdraw.

A preliminary-card matchup between middleweights Dave Branch vs. Tomasz Drwal is now official and completes the lineup for next month's UFC Fight Night 22 event.

As MMAjunkie.com reported earlier this week, Drwal initially was slated to fight Catone, who was forced off the card due to upcoming shoulder and back surgery.

Another matchup has been added to the UFC Fight Night 22 card in the wake of a recent re-shuffling.

Welterweights Brian Foster and Forrest Petz have been added to the event's preliminary card. Sources
close to the event today told MMAjunkie.com that verbal agreements are in place and contracts are expected shortly. ProFighting-fans.com first reported the pairing.
