State Line Grappling Championships is back! SLGC 2 will be at the Bristol Racquet & Fitness Club in Bristol, TN on Saturday, September 18, 2010.

This is a no gi submission grappling tournament using modified US Grappling rules. Adult divisions have 3 skill divisions – beginner (less than 1 year), intermediate (1 year to 3 years), and advanced (over 3 years).

(includes two videos below) PTW Fitness Center hosted its 1st annual unsanctioned Bench Press Championship, Saturday May 22. Owner, Yarnell Marks along with wife Tewkunzi Marks got the meet together after the huge response in the community.

The 2010 BullFarm Powerlifting Championships will take place at the biggest fitness event in Scandinavia-the Fitness EXPO. The EXPO is held October 9-10th. The BullFarm powerlifting meet takes place on Saturday, October 9th.

While the Fitness EXPO has moved to downtown Helsinki, there will be more crowd expected than last year´s event; which brought in over 12,000 people. The BullFarm meet had a full room of 1,300 people watching the event. The meet will again be televised on MTV3 Max (a sub-channel of MTV 3, the biggest channel in Finland) for 60 minutes plus 2 reruns.

On April 3, Ripped Fitness Gym in Sandy, Utah hosted the first APF Ripped Fitness Invitational. It was the biggest powerlifting meet in recent Utah history with 60 lifters.

Best lightweight lifter went to junior Nick Lenhart (148), who barely edged out fellow 148 competitor Spencer Westwood (148) and Ed Kinsey (198). Westwood actually out-totaled Lenhart, 1,471 to 1,438 pounds, with Lenhart winning on bodyweight. He weighed in at 141 pounds. Their totals rank Westwood third and Lenhart fourth on the Powerlifting Watch Lifter Rankings.

All are welcome men, women, kids, and teens. Teams and individual competitors any age or experience level. Gi competition is on Saturday and No-Gi on Sunday. Enjoy the largest fitness gathering in the world with 170,000 people attending, 18,000 athletes competing in over 40 sports with over 800 boths from the top vendors in the health and fitness industries.
