UFC 109 drug test results come back clean

All 13 fighters who underwent drug testing at this past weekend's UFC 109 event tested clean for performance-enhancing drugs and recreational/drugs of abuse.

Nevada State Athletic Commission Executive Director Keith Kizer today e-mailed the drug-testing results to MMAjunkie.com.

UFC 109 took place Feb. 6 at the Mandalay Bay Events in Las Vegas.
Randy Couture topped Mark Coleman via second-round submission in the
night's pay-per-view headliner.



Should Doucette be Barred from Ever Setting CPU Records

Due to his drug test failure, Greg Doucette was not only banned from competing in the federation for two years, but all of his former CPU records were erased.

Some within the federation membership think that further sanctions are justified for a drug test failure. Commenting in an unofficial capacity, Ralph Payne has suggested an additional sanction which has been repeated by others. Payne advocates barring a lifter from setting records for life, even once they return from suspension.

UFC 108 took place Jan. 2 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Rashad Evans edges Thiago Silva via decision in the night's pay-per-view headliner.
