Our youth club had many notable accomplishments this season.
1. We had 1 state champ and 2 place winners in the Super Pee Wee state tournament.
2. We took 12 kids and placed 10 in the AAU district meet. 2 kids took 1st, 3 kids took 2nd and 5 kids took 3rd.
3. At AAU State we had a State Champ and a place winner from our club

The help of our youth club coaches as well as the extra one on one instruction our youth club kids get from having high school wrestlers come and help has been an invaluable asset for our club. The kids also get a one on one connection with the high school wrestlers they look up to and that connection helps them follow the great example our high school wrestlers set for them.

Forest City’s high school wrestling program started the season with huge potential. Forest City was ranked 5th statewide as a team all season. We also had kids like our defending state champ Alex Spooner ranked 1st all season, as well as 4 other wrestlers ranked in the top 10 all year.

Our season began with many triumphs with Forest City winning most of their wrestling duals and all our wrestlers performing quite well. There were high hopes for Forest City both as a team and for many individuals despite having 3 wrestlers already out for the season with injuries. As tournament time neared, Forest City wrestlers experienced a devastating string of injuries that would put and end to many wrestlers seasons. Alex Spooner, our defending state champ had a season ending shoulder injury that kept him from the state tournament and ended his bid to be a 2 time state champ. Tim Brock and Tyler Harmon both ranked in the top 10 all season both had season ending shoulder injuries that kept them from the state tournament as well. Colby Fett, an unranked wrestler also had what was looking to be a great post-season run cut short with a rib injury. Even after all of these injuries and disappointments for these wrestlers, they continued to show up to youth club practice (some with their arms in slings) and help the youth club kids prepare for their state tournaments.

We had other great moments that propelled us forward. Aaron Sorenson ranked 4th and Cole Anderson ranked 4th both made the state tournament. Aaron pinned the #2 ranked kid and beat the #1 ranked kid in the finals to win the 145lb championship and his first state title! Cole battled hard and was able to finish his tournament by placing 5th! Both of these wrestlers also were active in helping coach our youth club kids even while preparing and practicing for their own state tournament runs.

My name is Keith "Boogie" Brown. I was lucky enough to win a pair of MyHouse board shorts at a raffle at the "Good Fight" Thanksgiving Throwdown 2 and I've been rocking them ever since. From the practice mats, to the boxing ring, to the cage, these shorts hold up and stay comfortable. I have been spreading the word that My House gear is the truth. I will definitely be wearing them when I step in the cage for Naga's "Reality Fighting" at the Battle at the Beach weekend in Wildwood.
